EMMA-LEE REMIX COMPETITION

In the past Emma-Lee has worked with several well known electronic music producers including Marcus Visionary (check out that track here), Stranjah and DS-1, so the label has put together a nifty remix competition that should excite some baceblog readers. The track on the chopping block is called “Until We Meet Again” and features a 160bpm tempo that opens it up to a wide variety of remix options. I could definitely see a drum and bass remix, some dubstep or a decent 4/4 track.

Competition Details
- Email remixcompetition@salacioussound.com in order to get the project’s stems

- Submissions are due Monday August 10th at 11:55pm. The titles should read Emma-Lee – Until We Meet Again (**Remixer**’s SalaciousSound Remix)

- Tracks will be posted and discussed on Salacious Sound

- The winning track will be chosen by Emma Lee, her management, and the Label Bumstead records

- The winning producer will paid $300 for the remix and it will be released with online distribution through Universal Records.

Akai LPD8 Controller
"The LPD8 is based on Akai Professional’s MPC line of iconic music product stations. The LPD8 has eight blue light-up pads that are velocity sensitive for programming rhythmic or melodic parts. The pads can also send program-change information to software. The LPD8 also has eight assignable Q-Link knobs to which users can assign virtually any parameters in their software for hands-on control."

Readers can expect both products to be available during the third quarter of 2009.

What are the Rane Series Equalizers?
